Connecting Kawach & Linear Accounts
Overview
This article explains how to integrate Linear with Kawach to enable continuous visibility into your linear account for compliance monitoring. Once connected, Kawach can monitor Linear data in read-only mode and surface relevant findings as part of your compliance workflows.
Prerequisites
Before starting the integration, ensure the following:
- You have an active Linear workspace.
- You have access to a Linear account with read access to the workspace.
- A workspace admin is available to approve third-party access, based on your organization’s settings.
- You have access to your organization’s Kawach account with permissions to manage integrations.
- You know which Linear workspace you want Kawach to monitor.
What Kawach Accesses
Once connected, Kawach can:
- Read workspace and project information
- Read issues, issue status, and activity history relevant to compliance tracking
- Read user actions and ownership signals to support accountability and audit readiness
Steps to Integrate Linear with Kawach
Step 1: Navigate to Integrations in Kawach
- Log in to your Kawach account.
- Go to Settings.
- Select the Integrations tab.
- Click on Create.
- Locate Linear from the list of available integrations.
- Click Connect.
Step 2: Authorize Kawach in Linear
- You will be redirected to the Linear sign-in page.
- Sign in using your work Linear account.
- Review the permissions requested by Kawach.
- Approve the connection.
Personal accounts cannot be used for this integration.
Step 3: Select Workspace to Monitor
After authorization:
- You will be redirected back to Kawach.
- Select the Linear workspace you want Kawach to monitor.
- Confirm your selection.
- Kawach will begin syncing data for the selected workspace.
After the Integration
Once the integration is complete:
- Linear projects and issues are continuously monitored within Kawach.
- Relevant findings can be surfaced as part of compliance and governance workflows.
- Teams get centralized visibility into issue tracking and ownership without switching tools.
- This setup supports ongoing compliance by ensuring project and issue evidence is consistently available.
Troubleshooting
Authorization failed

Ensure you are logged into the correct Linear workspace and have sufficient permissions to authorize third-party applications.
Projects or issues not visible

Check whether the selected workspace contains the projects and issues you expect Kawach to monitor.
Data not syncing

Allow a few minutes after setup. If issues persist, try reconnecting the integration.
