Connecting Kawach & Google Workspace Accounts

Overview

This article explains how to integrate Google Workspace with Kawach to enable centralized compliance monitoring across users, domains, roles, and configuration settings. Once connected, Kawach can monitor Google Workspace data in read-only mode and surface relevant findings as part of your compliance and risk workflows.

This integration helps ensure that identity management, access governance, and security configurations are consistently tracked and available for audits, reviews, and internal assessments.

What Kawach Accesses

Kawach connects to Google Workspace in read-only mode. It does not modify any users, domains, roles, or configuration settings in your Workspace environment.

Steps to Integrate Google Workspace with Kawach

Step 1: Navigate to Integrations in Kawach

  1. Log in to your Kawach account.
  2. Go to Settings.
  3. Select the Integrations tab.
  4. Click Create.
  5. Locate Google Workspace from the list of available integrations.
  6. Click Connect.

Step 2: Authorize Kawach in Google Workspace

  1. You will be redirected to the Google account selection page.
  2. Sign in using your work Google account.
  3. Review the permissions requested by Kawach.
  4. Approve the connection.
Note: You must be a Google Workspace Super Admin or have sufficient privileges to authorize third-party applications.

Step 3: Confirm Workspace Access

After authorization:

  1. Confirm the Google Workspace environment to be monitored.
  2. Review the read-only access scope for users, domains, and roles.

Kawach will begin syncing data from your Google Workspace.

After the Integration

Once the integration is complete:

Troubleshooting

Ensure you are logged into the correct Google Workspace admin account and have Super Admin privileges.

Verify that the required read-only permissions were approved during authorization.

Allow a few minutes after setup. If issues persist, try reconnecting the integration.
