Connecting Kawach & Asana Accounts
Overview
This article explains how to integrate Asana with Kawach to enable continuous visibility into projects, tasks, and user activity for compliance monitoring. Once connected, Kawach can monitor Asana data in read-only mode and surface relevant findings as part of your compliance and risk workflows.
This integration helps ensure that work tracking, ownership, and accountability signals are consistently available for audits, reviews, and internal assessments.
Prerequisites
Before starting the integration, ensure the following:
- You have an active Asana workspace.
- You have access to an Asana account with workspace-level permissions.
- A workspace admin is available to approve third-party access, based on your organization’s settings.
- You have access to your organization’s Kawach account with permissions to manage integrations.
- You know which Asana workspace you want Kawach to monitor.
What Kawach Accesses
Once connected, Kawach can:
- Read workspace and project information
- Read tasks and task metadata relevant to compliance tracking
- Read user activity and ownership signals to support accountability and audit readiness
Steps to Integrate Asana with Kawach
Step 1: Navigate to Integrations in Kawach
- Log in to your Kawach account.
- Go to Settings.
- Select the Integrations tab.
- Click Create.
- Locate Asana from the list of available integrations.
- Click Connect.
Step 2: Authorize Kawach in Asana
- You will be redirected to the Asana sign-in page.
- Sign in using your work account.
- Personal accounts cannot be used for this integration.
- Review the permissions requested by Kawach.
- Approve the connection.
Step 3: Select Workspace to Monitor
After authorization:
- You will be redirected back to Kawach.
- Select the Asana workspace you want Kawach to monitor.
Kawach will begin syncing data for the selected workspace.
After the Integration
Once the integration is complete:
- Asana projects and tasks are continuously monitored within Kawach.
- Relevant findings can be surfaced as part of compliance and governance workflows.
- Teams get centralized visibility into work tracking and ownership without switching tools.
This setup supports ongoing compliance by ensuring project and task evidence is consistently available.
Troubleshooting
Authorization failed

Projects not visible
