Overview

This article explains how to integrate Asana with Kawach to enable continuous visibility into projects, tasks, and user activity for compliance monitoring. Once connected, Kawach can monitor Asana data in read-only mode and surface relevant findings as part of your compliance and risk workflows.

This integration helps ensure that work tracking, ownership, and accountability signals are consistently available for audits, reviews, and internal assessments.

Prerequisites

Before starting the integration, ensure the following:

  • You have an active Asana workspace.
  • You have access to an Asana account with workspace-level permissions.
  • A workspace admin is available to approve third-party access, based on your organization’s settings.
  • You have access to your organization’s Kawach account with permissions to manage integrations.
  • You know which Asana workspace you want Kawach to monitor.

What Kawach Accesses

Kawach connects to Asana in read-only mode. It does not modify any projects, tasks, users, or configuration.

Once connected, Kawach can:

  • Read workspace and project information
  • Read tasks and task metadata relevant to compliance tracking
  • Read user activity and ownership signals to support accountability and audit readiness

Step 3: Select Workspace to Monitor

After authorization:

  1. You will be redirected back to Kawach.
  2. Select the Asana workspace you want Kawach to monitor.

Kawach will begin syncing data for the selected workspace.

After the Integration

Once the integration is complete:

  • Asana projects and tasks are continuously monitored within Kawach.
  • Relevant findings can be surfaced as part of compliance and governance workflows.
  • Teams get centralized visibility into work tracking and ownership without switching tools.

This setup supports ongoing compliance by ensuring project and task evidence is consistently available.

Troubleshooting

  • Authorization failed

Ensure you are logged into the correct Asana workspace and have sufficient permissions to authorize third-party applications.

  • Projects not visible

Check whether the selected workspace contains the projects you expect Kawach to monitor.

  • Data not syncing

Allow a few minutes after setup. If issues persist, try reconnecting the integration.
